Coheed And Cambria - Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, Volume Two: No World for Tomorrow

Coheed And Cambria - Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, Volume Two: No World For Tomorrow

No World For Tomorrow... The fourth album by my prized gems Coheed this album is no shorter than a killer album. Talk about the calm before the storm....(more on that in another blog.) This album was one of the first Coheed albums I bought. Like I say in all the previous Coheed blogs that I first heard old songs, but this album was the one out when I had my own money to buy stuff. I already knew of the songs Feathers and The Running Free. I had seen their videos on Fuse when I was a teenager. Two back to back rockers in this album. Seeing them as videos really helps print an image of what Coheed was and would become to an impressionable teenager jammin out in his bedroom. Gravemakers & Gunslingers has remained one of my all time favorite Coheed songs even after I've been a seasoned Coheed fan for a while. It's such a good punch and runny song that has one shredding guitar solo. The whole song feels like it's riddled with angst and frustration. The End Complete this song was one of the first songs I "listened" to when I bought the album. I'm sure you guys are saying "but Ty you said Feathers and The Running Free was?) They certainly the first ones I heard, but were not the first ones I listened to. Meaning this was the first song I chose to listen to after I bought the album. I was not disappointed.... It is such a story like song. Not to mention one of the longest and progressive songs. The last song on the album is On The Brink this song and I have such a long story together. It started out as one of those songs I always just skipped, because it started so slow. The more I listen to it and the further I get into the song the more I realize what a beautiful song I was passing up. It has a fantastic build up that then get slammed by Claudio's immense vocal performance. It has become one of my favorite songs on the album. Every Coheed blog I do I am super nervous. I have to do these completely perfect so stick with me I will get them all done I promise. I give this album 💣💣💣💣💣 out of five! Extravagant!

Chonny and Clyde - Celisti

Claudio and Chondra Sanchez - Celisti
October 6, 2017

These very verr verrry beautiful souls. I love these two. They were making songs to release for an album with the both of them. Instead they released it for charity on Bandcamp. the album was released to support Puerto Rico in the recent disaster. All the proceeds are going to help those in need. I can't say enough about these people. They decided to put their heart into helping PR they are truly an inspiration! It really helps that the songs are nice too! This is only a three song album so there isn't much to say about the actual music so instead I'll talk about it as a whole. I like the feel of this album its so folky and acoustic that I can't help but love it. I don't know how many or if any of the songs on here are actually about the hurricane, but none the less it is a great cause and you still get something in return! Some good stuff in return. I give this album. 🚑🚑🚑🚑🚑 Love all. Extravagant!

Favorite Tracks!
  1. I, The Hurricane
  2. A - OK
  3. Supernova
heheheh see what I did there? there is only three songs on here anyway!

Coheed and Cambria - The Second Stage Turbine Blade

June 14, 2017
Coheed and Cambria - The Second Stage Turbine Blade

The debut album by Coheed and Cambria! This was the album! The first song I heard by Coheed and Cambria was "Devil In Jersey City" the song that started it all for me! I fell in love with that song and the band. Although "Second Stage Turbine Blade" wasn't the first album I bought by Coheed it was the one that introduced me to the band. We all know where I am at now with my love for the band so obviously they did something right! This album is a sound that was new and fresh to me. It had so much to offer to such young and impressionable ears like mine. Everything that Coheed is and what they would form into was in that album. There was so much in this album to get excited about and hopefully after this review if you hadn't heard this album yet you will want to! Like many other Coheed albums the first song is an instrumental. I use the term "instrumental" lightly, because its more just sound. That song leads into the real first song of the album "Time Consumer" a nice song that kicks off with pounding kick drum (no pun intended) that build the song up and gets you primed to listen! "Devil In Jersey City" is the next song which I have said before was the first song by Coheed I had ever heard so obviously I'm a little partial. I remember coming home from school and turning on Fuse TV and seeing the music video for this song. "Everything Evil" is the next song and one of my most favorite songs of theirs to date! I really came to love the song even more when I saw it preformed on Guitar Center Sessions and seeing how awesome the song was preformed. A lot of Coheed is like that, they put on such great shows you tend to love the live versions more. That's rare. The thing that tends to gravitate me towards this album is Josh. Josh Eppard is the drummer for Coheed and his drumming style gets me pumped and hyped every time. It's loud and in your face. Heavy on the toms. "33" is classic Coheed to me. "Punch and run" type of guitar with the spastic drums. You won't be able to find a more steady song in their repertoire. "Junesong Provision, Neverender, and God Send Conspirator" finish out the album and are also some of favorite Coheed songs of all time. I made a list a year or two back ranking all the Coheed songs, but I can't remember the order off the top of my head. Even this being their first official album you wouldn't be able to tell. The workmanship on this album is perfect and the sound of everything is all I've ever wanted from Coheed. It will never replace IKSSE3, but it is a close second! I give this album 🐝🐝 out of five.....

JUST KIDDING! I give this album 🐇🐇🐇🐇🐇 out of five! Extravagant!

  1. Everything Evil
  2. Junesong Provision
  3. Neverender

Coheed and Cambria - Good Apollo I'm Burning Star IV Volume One: From Fear Through The Eyes Of Madness

Coheed and Cambria - Good Apollo I'm Burning Star IV

Good freaking Apollo. One of the most recognizable albums from my favorites over in Coheed, but no where near their best. I was not planning on reviewing this album at all. Like I said in my previous Coheed review since they are my favorite I am very picky on how I review them. Although in light of them announcing their Neverender tour for this album I just had to review it! This album will be the album non Coheed fans can tell you a little about. It has Welcome Home on it which is by far their most popular song. Welcome Home has been on video games, movies, and TV shows so it's understandable that it is the most recognizable one. On top of Welcome Home it also has The Suffering which to this point has been another one of their most popular songs. Those songs are great, but still are not the best in my opinion. So for this review I am going to try a little different of a format so please forgive me if it gets a little jumbled. This album starts of with a nice little intro song with Keeping The Blade with just sounds that leads to a soft acoustic sounding song Always & Never to accommodate the intro song. You then hit the first wave of impeccable songs. You get Welcome Home and Ten Speed which are both pretty punchy tunes. You get about three great hold over songs after those two that keep you wanting more, but nothing the masses would really love(Crossing The Frame, The Writing Writer, and Once Upon Your Dead Body.) You get the second wave of top notch songs up next with Wake Up, and The Suffering. Wake Up being a love song that is both happy and sad. The Suffering is a nice bouncy head bobbing tune that helps lead into the last stretch of the album. The next two songs are filler songs that help build up the ending of the album. You have The Lying Lies & Dirty Secrets Of Miss Eric Court, and Mother May I. Both are up and down runny songs with great fills and lyrics that keep up the feel of the album to this point. Finally we hit the last run. These last four songs are the greatest on the album in my opinion. All four Willing Well songs are long songs that have so many different changes in them and posses such power and meaning behind them. Fuel For The Feeding End is the first one. If you base if you are going to listen to this song or not on the first couple of seconds then you are going to be disappointed. It starts with a computer sounding noisy intro, but quickly picks up if you stick around. It turns into a great one two punch song with punchy guitar and bass runs followed with clean drum sounds with insane lyrics. From Fear Through The Eyes Of Madness is a great continuation of the first Willing Well. It to starts with a computer sounding intro. This one is not near as "heavy" instrument wise at least. The real kicker on this song is the vocal melody that Claudio uses. It all seems to match the upbeat up and down guitar sounds and deep drums while being a beast all on its own. The last two Willing Wells are some of the deepest meaning songs to me at least. First is my favorite song off of the album. The Telling Truth. It is practically the same song as the Writing Writer except there is about two minutes of added content and some of the lyrics are slightly changed. Other than that it is essentially the same. Same instrumentals and such. Like the other Willing Wells it keeps the computer sounding intro that leads into the great instruments. It utilizes a nice running guitar riff that continues throughout the song that seems to sound like it is something you would hear in a movie of a guy running through a woods(at least to me ahaha.) The lyrics on this song are some of the best off of the whole album I think. There is a lot of lyrics in the song first off, but they are also deep and thought provoking. The last song and the last Willing Well is a doozy. If you have girl troubles I recommend you listen to this song.... I won't say much more than that and ruin it, but just listen to it. As in actual lyrics on this song it doesn't last much longer than two minutes. After the two minutes or so of lyrics you get to enjoy a few minutes of great guitar solos and riffs until it hits this upbeat folk guitar riff to end the song. All in all this album is fantastic and worth the listen. I hope my new review format wasn't too shitty I just wanted to try to get more of a "review" format. I give this album Ⅳ Ⅳ Ⅳ Ⅳ Ⅳ out of five! Extravagant!

Favorite Tracks!
  1. The Telling Truth
  2. Wake Up
  3. Ten Speed (Of God's Blood & Burial)

Coheed and Cambria - In Keeping Secrets Of Silent Earth: 3

Coheed and Cambria - In Keeping Secrets Of Silent Earth: 3

Welcome everyone to the beginning of my music obsession. My all time favorite album in the entire world is this one right here. When I try to think of an album that changed me and my life this is the only one I can think of. I have put off reviewing this album just because it is my all time favorite. This is the first album I actually sought out myself and listened to when I was finding my musical identity. After listening to this album Coheed quickly became my favorite band. This album and band have helped me through so many things in my life. Every time something amazing happens in my life I listen to this album and every time I have negativity I listen to this album. I listen to this album at least once a week. I might have a slight obsession with Coheed but I am not ashamed. The musical genius that is this band and album is out of this world. The comics that follow the bands albums to the stories told in the music you just can't deny the originality. Everything about this album and band are unique. Claudio's voice, the punchy guitar, the deep bass, and the pounding melodic organized chaos that is Josh Eppard's drumming. In my honest opinion I think this is one of the most iconic albums of my lifetime thus far. I know every word to every song on this album. Since this album has been blessed upon my ears I have bought every Coheed album that followed (and even the one before it) also seeing them in Indianapolis, Indiana and Grand Rapids, Michigan. Every time I see them live it is easily the greatest day of my life. I know so much about the band and its members. Claudio has solo music as does Travis and Josh. Claudio has Prize Fighter Inferno, Travis has/had Davenport Cabinet and Fire Deuce, and Josh has Weerd Science. I also love every side project each member is a part of. Most of my favorite Coheed songs of all time originate from this album alone. If I was only allowed to listen to one album for the rest of my life I would easily choose this one without a doubt. So I highly suggest each and everyone of you go listen to this album if you already haven't. I promise you won't be disappointed. If you don't like it you'll at least find it interesting! I give this album 🌙🌙🌙🌙🌙 out of five! Extravagant!

Favorite Tracks!
  1. The Camper Velourium II: Backend Of Forever
  2. Cuts Marked In The March Of Men
  3. The Camper Velourium I: Faint Of Hearts
